Saskatchewan EXCEL Program
Saskatchewan Soccer's EXCEL Program is the province's Saskatoon-based player-centred high performance training environment for talented 14-18 year-old male and female players. The Saskatchewan EXCEL Program runs September to July with two seasons aligned to indoor (Sept - April) and outdoor (April - July) soccer in Saskatchewan.
The Saskatchewan EXCEL Program adheres to Canada Soccer's National Team Pathway preparing players for opportunities to advance to National Development Centres, Youth National Teams, University and College, and professional playing opportunities.
Saskatchewan EXCEL Program assessment and intake will consist of a variety of talent identification processes including performance of players in their club environments and Prairie Soccer League U-13, U-15, and U-17 division teams, Saskatchewan EXCEL program player identification sessions and assessment windows, and through ongoing discussion and assessment of club playing populations between the EXCEL Manager and club technical leads.
