Soccer Days in Saskatchewan - July 22-24 in Regina

Back for another year, this weekend will include three familiar SSA Competitions - SK Open Cup, PSL Championships, and Masters Provincial Championships. A new competition will be introduced - Walking Soccer Provincials!

In conjunction with these competitions, we are bringing back fan favourites - Soccer Tennis, Skills Competition, 3v3 World Cup for youth and adults, and a couple more exciting opportunities! Registration for these events will open in the coming weeks.

Volunteer Support Requested
These events provide a promotional opportunity for Member Organizations; consider setting up a booth or tent during the weekend to promote your organization.
We would appreciate Member Organizations reaching out to anyone they believe would be interested in volunteering during the events to assist in the delivery of the weekend. This could be a great opportunity for those in high school to earn volunteer hours or university students who are interested in event planning and execution.

Staffing Updates

Please welcome Michele Mathews to the SSA team as our Administrator, Member Services. Michele has two degrees; a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Education, and brings with her a wealth of experience, including an extensive accounting background, that will be an asset in this role.
Early on, Michele’s primary role will be to provide administrative support to financial and registration related processes. SSA is once again in partnership with the Admin Centre to provide reception support for Mosaic Stadium residents which Michele will manage.

The addition of Michele to our staff team allows us to re-adjust duties of other staff to serve in areas where we are currently under capacity; watch for further details on our Contact Us page in the future.

Zero Tolerance is the Name of The Game

SSA has a zero-tolerance policy for abuse; all SSA participants, volunteers, staff, and referees are to be treated with respect at all times.

Soccer brings out people’s passion and sometimes the heat of the action can get the better of us. We encourage all participants and spectators to always demonstrate a high level of sportsmanship. We also ask all Member Organizations to continue to educate their participants, coaches, parents and spectators about the need to ensure a respectful game time environment for all.

After two years of limitations on our ability to play and enjoy sport, we need to take the time to remember that we are all responsible for creating a respectful environment on and off the pitch. Exhibiting any forms of aggression in response to the game - before, during or after is not tolerated and is subject to discipline.

The Code of Conduct & Ethics outlines expectations for appropriate behaviour that all participants must adhere to, while the Formal Complaints & Discipline policies and Formal Complaints Form provide the details on how to proceed should an incident need formal consideration.
