Hosting a Referee Course
Canada Soccer will be releasing the in person (practical) curriculum shortly. As with previous courses, SSA accredited referee instructors will follow the curriculum of delivery of each course. The new blended format will help reduce overall participation costs as well as reduce in-person time for referees as well.
We have cancelled current course bookings and will begin again by accepting new course bookings. Once we have been authorized to return to play, MOs will complete the new referee course booking form. This form will collect the pertinent information we need to update SSA's
Referee Courses webpage. This will include expectations from the MO host to fulfill the obligations required to deliver the course and support the MO host in finalizing details to ensure the course is able to run.
After completion of the course, all MO hosts will be asked to complete the follow-up form that will collect the necessary information for SSA to process the course and send an invoice.
Referee courses require a minimum number of 10 participants. If there are less than 10 participants, the course may go ahead, however, the host MO or entity will be invoiced for 10 participants plus applicable registration fees.
